For the best protection, heat alarms should always be installed as part of a complete fire protection system that also includes smoke alarms. Heat alarms are best suited to areas where dust, fumes and moisture can cause nuisance alarms in smoke alarms, such as: boiler rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, lofts and garages.
Why does my heat alarm chirp intermittently?
If the alarm chirps every 45 seconds and the amber LED flashes at the same time, this indicates that the power pack is low. Replace the unit within 30 days. If the alarm chirps every 4 hours, another alarm in the network has a low power pack and needs replacing.
Why is the amber LED flashing and the alarm chirping?
If the amber LED flashes at a different time to the chirp, this means there is a fault with your alarm and it needs replacing.
Why doesn’t my heat alarm sound during testing?
Make sure you are pushing the centre test button firmly. If the unit has been silenced and is in low sensitivity mode, it may not sound. Wait 15 minutes. Ensure the alarm is securely located into the base plate. If the alarm still fails to sound, contact Technical Support.
How do I return a product under warranty?
We recommend that you contact the FireAngel Technical Support Line in the first instance on 0800 141 2561 (1-800 523171 in Eire), Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm as we may be able to remedy the problem quickly over the phone (this is to prevent unnecessary returns that take a longer time to process).
Alternatively, you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org quoting the product model number, which can be found on the product or user manual. If there is a fault that we are unable to resolve then our Technical Support team will issue you with a returns authority number so that your product can be returned for testing.
